Sustainability for the future. Education for the present.

At GTG, it's not only about promoting awareness of the enviornment and how to "go green." It's about actively engaging students and teachers of all ages in a meaningful discourse that will impact not only their lives, but the health of the earth as well.

Our community teaching model couples high school student-teachers with elementary school students, creating a closer-knit local community between schools. Additionally, both teacher and student benefit from the GTG program, as each learn new ways to think about the environment and what it means to support its health. While we encourage high school students to serve as teachers, anyone can teach the curriculum. To learn more about how you can get involved, or about the curriculums themselves, click the "Get Involved" button below.

For Educators

The GTG curriculum reinforces concepts and skills your students need.

Every GTG lesson allows students the opportunity to practice their critical thinking, writing, and reading skills, in addition to exposing them to science and biological concepts in a fun way. Integrating GTG into your classroom curriculum is a great way to get your students thinking, and it supports the environment simulateously. Feel free to contact us for more information.

For Parents

Familiarize yourself with the GTG curriculum. Support your child's learning.

If GTG is at your child's school, familiarizing yourself with the GTG curriculums is a great way to not only inspire the inner-green in you, but also to extend your child's learning and discovery beyond the classroom. We urge you to talk with your child about what he or she has learned in school through GTG, and to apply that newfound knowledge at home by involving everyone in the family in home greening projects - from turning off the lights when they aren't needed, to growing your very own organic garden. By completing or discussing new GTG projects as a family, the messages those projects communicate can mean so much more. Now, greening your home does not have to be chore. Click the "Get Involved" button above to learn more.

For Students

Discover a whole new way of going green.

Whether you're a student-teacher or a student, GTG can help you discover new ways of thinking about the environment, why we should respect it, and how we can accomplish our green goals. GTG lessons are fun to teach and learn from, and involve exciting, educational activities. Feel free to browse through our sustainable curriculums to see what GTG is really all about. Our Mission

GTG promotes sustainable education for today's youth, creating a brighter, more verdant tomorrow.

GoTeachGreen is an organization founded with the goal of educating youth about sustainability and green living at an early age, so that they may make more conscious decisions in the future. Our curriculum allows anyone, anywhere, to get involved in the GoTeachGreen movement.

Our Impact

GTG makes a difference. And it lasts.

Our curriculum and community teaching model impact today's youth every day by actively engaging both elementrary school and high school students in thought and conversation about nature, sustainability, ecosystems, and the environment. With a newfound knowledge and appreciation of what it means to "go green," students can apply what they have learned to the rest of their lives, helping to make a more just and beautiful world.
